Subject: Estate Planning Alternatives To Conservation Easements
Do you need to know how to protect your property, the family ranch, and future generations' right to make their own choices? Estate planning is the answer and there are several options available to landowners besides the now popular conservation easement.
An informational program entitled "Estate Planning Alternatives for Landowners: Other Than Conservation Easements" is being held in Westcliffe, Colorado on Thursday, June 27, at 6 p.m. in the Cliff Lanes conference room, 25 Main Street.
The guest speaker for the event is Kenneth Keene, a law partner with Rothgerber, Johnson and Lyons of Denver and Colorado Springs. Keene brings with him over thirty years of experience in the legal profession. He will outline several basic options for estate planning, including conservatorship, probate issues, and guardianships.
The program is being sponsored by the Citizens for Property Rights and is the follow-up to their previous event on the pros and cons of conservation easements. For more information contact event moderator Kit Shy at 719-783-2347.
